i’m all spacey
My first night of camping in over 6 years was a wee tiring. It took me a while to fall asleep, the morning greeted us with some bird of some kind that wouldn’t keep quiet, and dogs were barking non-stop. We stayed at Davis Mnts. National Park and it was loaded with visitors who brought crying babies and dogs and kids and all the fixins for a nice, long night of trying to sleep. That’s what I get for staying up until 2am the night before.
We visited the McDonald Observatory late last night for the star party. Through one of the smaller telescopes we viewed some stars, a star which had already exploded, and the moon. I wanted to see Jupiter but the clouds were out in full force for the first half of the night. The night ended after a staff guy educated us with the constellations and star patterns. We were able to see the big telescopes this morning and we got some good pictures.
Tomorrow is the Carlsbad Caverns and another big drive up to Santa Fe. We won’t have communication from tomorrow until we arrive in Las Vegas in a few days. So this’ll be it for now.

to the stars and back
Tomorrow night represents our first stop to McDonald Observatory. We will get to view through one of the smaller telescopes to see some of the planets. We’ll get to have a tour of the observatory and what it encompasses.
The next day will be travel to Carlsbad, New Mexico to see the Carlsbad Caverns. Then eventually up to Mesa Verde and over to the Grand Canyon. So, we might have Internet at some point in Carlsbad but not until at least Vegas if not afterward.
We will hopefully be taking millions of pictures of everything! Our plan is send out e-postcards to people. If you go here and leave your e-mail, we’ll send you one. Be sure to tell your friends and family to visit and leave us something. We’re gonna have plenty to go around. And don’t forget to donate for our road trip fund if you want!

I have finally finished mixing and mastering. Such a huge blessing off my shoulders! I can’t wait to see the final product. And neither can you, remember? You’re supporting me by buying one!

in the end, it’s finished
As I near completion of my CD project, I sorta hunger for more projects like this. This has been a huge learning process and I’m thankful that I was given this opportunity. My next course of action would be for me to watch some professionals mix, see and practice using their techniques and try to get a better understanding of what I am doing right and wrong.
Sounds like I need to go back to school… Heck no!
Although, if I found that right program out there for me and it didn’t cost much or anything, I’d probably go ahead and try it out. That’s not usual for me to say something like this being that I just graduated but I guess I’m more open to other ideas than I originally thought, such as a higher education.
DWAYNE
I’ve been told that I should post messages on my website more often. Well, here ya go Dwayne! I know how you constantly like to check my website for hours on end for anything new. Well, here ya go.
Here’s a question for everyone else: Do you know who Dwayne is? See, I’ve known Dwayne for many years. He and I go way back. I didn’t start talking to him until a few years ago but we hit it off a while ago. He’s a student at UT and has a great job in Houston. He’s gonna probably make a buttload of da green, so he’ll have to loan me some. Hopefully he enjoys his job in the long run because it’s an early start to the day for someone like me. What does he work with, you ask? Well, some engineering firm that deals with things like Nanotechnology. Who the heck knows what that really means. But anyway, Dwayne is single to all the ladies out there. If I ever get a sexy picture of him, I’ll be sure to post it on here. Until then, he looks so very similar to Dylan McDermott but much sexier.
I burned a CD of my latest mix, took it out in my car to listen to it. Overall, if this were the final mix of everything, I’d be satisfied. I have to send the CD off no later than Saturday no matter what so that’s that. Hopefully, everything is working out with the rest of the CD production. I’ll find out soon.
Less than a week before I take off on a 3 week long road trip!! I went to AAA yesterday to get some maps and a trip-tik. So we have more than enough resources to go where we want. And we’ll be on TV on June 21!! Set your VCRs and go buy cable because we will be on The Screen Savers on TechTV!! It’s going to rock the house being able to see the show live!
I’m bringing a wireless network card and Jonathan’s laptop so we’ll have access to the Internet every now and then. Mostly when we’re in California. So we’ll try to post some nice pictures when we can.
